Odisha BJP attacks Naveen-Government over Drought Package

Bhubaneswar, Oct 26: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Odisha unit attacked the Naveen government for its assessment on drought situation, farmers’ suicide and drought package.

Addressing at a press conference here, senior BJP leader Bijoy Mohapatra lampoon the state government for its drawing-room assessment on drought situation.  He termed the drought package declared by the government as just eyewash.

The state government has been not paying any heed to the farmers’ plight. In Odisha, around 40 farmers were committed suicide in last two months, the BJP leader said. He alleged that the Chief Minister declared drought package after a central visited the drought hit areas in the state.
