Odisha BJP gheraos DGP Office in Cuttack, seeks Gajbhiye’s Arrest

Thousands of BJP cadres led by KV Singhdeo, Bijoy Mohapatra, Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Manmohan Samal, Bhrugu Bakshipatra and others, gheraoed the DGP office in Cuttack today. They defied the Section 144 imposed in the area since last night.

The BJP leaders later submitted a memorandum to the DGP, demanding immediate arrest and dismissal of former Kendrapara SP Satish Gajbhiye. They also demanded a CBI probe into the entire Sarathi Baba controversy. Satish Gajbhiye was suspended yesterday for excessive force on common people, inappropriate behaviour towards citizens and violating All India Services Code.
