Odisha BJP Mahila Morcha writes to State Human Rights Commission

Simantini Jena BJPBhubaneswar, Oct 30: The women wing of State BJP has submitted a memorandum on Friday to Odisha Human Right Commission over the misconduct for IIC Balichandrapur police station.

A delegation led by President of Odisha BJP Mahila Morcha, Simantini Jena handed over a memorandum to the state human rights commission. In the letter she alleged that the IIC of Police station of Balichandrapur, Sarat Chandra Patra refused to lodge a FIR over an encroachment issue and misbehaved with them.

She also alleged the officer of misbehaving at the police station, which she termed as a violation of code related to behavior of a police officer. Jena informed the commission that she along with some social activists and villages went to the police station to file FIR over enrichment issues on October 26. But, the officer allegedly did not lodge the FIR and  allegedly misbehaved with the members of the delegation. She urged the commission for necessary action against the officer for his alleged misconduct.
