Odisha BJP to elect ‘President’ by Jan 1st Week

BJP-Suersh-PujariBhubaneswar, Nov 30: Odisha BJP unit will elect its ‘President’ by the first week of January, as decided in a meeting of office bearers held here at party headquarters on Sunday.

Nayan Kishore Mohanty, senior BJP leader, said that the election for new president for the state unit is expected to be completed by first week of January as the election of Mandals and District committees would be completed on December 10 and 25 respectively.

Suresh Pujari, former president of Odisha BJP unit and present BJP National Secretary, said that the party has been maintaining its internal democracy and the electing new officer bearers would be done on consensus basis.The New-Year would bring better time for the people of Odisha, he added.

The meeting was attended by Soudhan Singh, Joint General Secretary(Organisation); Arun Singh, General Secretary and state BJP-in-charge; K.V. Singhdeo, incumbent Odisha BJP president; Jual Oram, Union Tribal Affairs Minister; Bijay Mahapatra and  Pratap Sarangi.
