Odisha BJYM Secretary arrested in Bhatli Firing Case

ONI Bureau:  Bargarh police on Thursday arrested Irasis Acharya, the State Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in connection with a firing at Bhatli in Bargarh district.

As peer report, a youth named Bulu Satnami (18) of Chamarpada in Sohela area died after sustaining bullet injuries during a firing in front of BJP office in Bhatli block of Bargarh district last month.

He was initially admitted to the Bargarh district headquarters hospital in a critical condition and later shifted to VIMSAR in Burla, where the doctor declared him brought dead.

In this regard, Bargarh police had summoned Acharya for questioning and later he was arrested.
