Odisha: Block Grant Teachers join duty from today

ONI Bureau:  Agitating members of All Odisha School College Teachers’ and Employees’ United Forum have joined in their duty from today.

The Block Grant teachers started teaching, wearing black badges; however, they would continue their agitation at the Mahatma Gandhi Marg in Bhubaneswar on rotation basis every day.

They also have decided to organise a 12-hour strike on October 2 in front of district collectorates. Again all teachers will gather on October 9 at the Mahatma Gandhi Marg for a ‘Shiksha Banchao, Odisha Banchao’ rally.

The block-grant teachers had been demanding fulfilment of demands including equal pay for equal work, regularisation of jobs, full aid and benefits of 7th pay Commission, respectively.
