Odisha Cabinet approves 11 Key Proposals, hikes Motor Vehicle Tax

The Odisha Cabinet has approved 11 key proposals today. The following are the most important of those proposals.

‪* Cabinet approves Orissa Motor Vehicles Taxation (Amendment) Act, 2015. Vehicles to cost more. Heavy taxes to be levied. Prices of Bikes, Cars, Jeeps, Vans, School Buses etc. to go up.

* Cabinet approves amendments to the Odisha Professional Education Act.

* Cabinet approves proposal by Water Resources Department for construction of bridge over river Mahanadi at Nuapatna to connect with Cuttack.

* Govt to request Centre to abolish Odisha Administrative Tribunal, which was established in 1986 with the objective of giving quick justice to the government employees.
