Odisha Cabinet approves to open ‘Model Schools’ in all 314 Blocks

Odisha Cabinet on Tuesday decided to set up Model Schools (Adarsh Vidyalayas) in all 314 Blocks across the State.

After the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the State Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi said to mediapersons that, Odisha government decided to implement the Model School Scheme from its own resources on which the State government will spend Rs 2600 crore in five years.

The State government has made 100 model schools in the 2016 academic session and plan to establish Model Schools in all Blocks of the State by 2018-19.
