Odisha Chief Minister launches E-Policing Service in Bhubaneswar

Odisha Chief Minister launches E-policing ServiceBhubaneswar, Oct 3: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched e-policing service today here at Soochana Bhavan. The service enables citizens and residents to register complaints with Police without having to visit the police stations and higher offices.

The Chief Minister dedicated a portal (www.citizenportal-op.gov.in) of the Odisha police on the occasion. Using these services, people can lodge complaints with police officials and also seek police approval for organizing rallies, demonstrations, or protests.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik speaking on the occasion said that “No need to visit to any police station or higher police office for filing complain or any other work, people can use the online portal. I thank the Odisha police for this people friendly initiative”.

Using this portal, people can file FIR, request FIR copy, register reports over  missing persons, loss of property, request for availing Character Certificate, conducting event or performance, tenant verification and employee verification. Police officials said that the online services will be effective from December.
