Odisha Chief Minister releases Pitroda’s AutobiographyBhubaneswar, Oct 28: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik released the autobiography of Sam Pitroda: “Dreaming Big”, my journey to connect India, here on Tuesday. The event was attended by Schools and Mass Education Debi Prasad Mishra and Minister for Tourism and Culture Ashok Chandra Panda.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said Sam Pitroda is a pioneer in the modern world of technology and he brought changes in the lives of common man. He said Pitroda has contributed a lot to the communication technology field and played significant role in rural empowerment. Calling him as global leader of technology, the Chief Minister said that without his contribution the success story of India in the field of technology would be incomplete.

Satyanarayan Gangaram Pitroda, popularly known as Sam Pitroda, is a telecom engineer, inventor, entrepreneur and policymaker, a young man from Titilagarh in Odisha has become a world leader in the field of information and technology. He has spent 50 years in information and communication technology. He was also the founder and first Chairman of India’s Telecom Commission. He had served as Advisor to the Prime Minister of India. Speaking to media during the launching of the book, Pitroda said that in the book he motioned about the changing scenario of technology in India. He tweeted about the book as “DreamingBig for India is a conversation to share our dreams, ideas, aspirations for India”.
