Odisha CM announces ban on Plastic Polythenes in State from October 2

ONI Bureau: After Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday announced ban on polythene bags in the State from October 2 on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

In this regard, Patnaik issued an order to all Urban Local Bodies imposing a ban on the use of plastic in the state from October 2.

The state govt will also take measure steps on complete ban of polythene bags across the State in two years, informed the CM.
