Odisha CM announces Rs 62 cr Bonus for Kendu Leaf Pluckers

The Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reviewed the Forest and Environment Department yesterday.

After the review meeting, the Forest and Environment Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh informed the newsmen that, the Kenduleaf pluckers will be given Rs 62 crore as bonus.

The Chief Minister has also directed to implement ‘Ama Jangal Yojana’ (AJY) by investing Rs 1,170 crore and appoint 7,000 Van Samrakshyana Samiti (VSS) under the yojana, Arukh added.
