Odisha CM dedicates 100 Rural Drinking Water Supply Projects in the State

Rural Drinking Water SupplyOdisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik dedicated 100 rural drinking water supply projects in the state. The projects will benefit 1,72,000 people residing in 107 villages across the state.

Patnaik said, there had 459 drinking water projects in 2000 but now around 10,000 projects are functioning in the state. On the occasion of birthday of Utkala Gaurav Madhusudan Das, the government have dedicated 100 rural pipe water supply projects to the rural people.

Taliking to the media persons, Cm said that he has ordered all officials to repair dysfunctional tube wells and complete the remaining projects by the end of the 2016-17 financial year.

Special Relief Commissioner Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra said that the projects will be implemented at a cost of Rs 72 crore.
