Odisha CM launches Drinking Water project ‘Basudha’

ONI Bureau:  Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today laid foundation stone for the proposed drinking water supply project ‘BASUDHA’ (Buxy Jagabandhu Assured Water Supply to Habitations) at Gomundia in in Krushnaprasad block of Puri district.

The Rs 183 crore worth drinking water project will benefit 147 villages, including 92 villages of Puri and 55 villages of Ganjam districts located on the banks of Chilika lake.

Earlier, the CM dedicates Helpline-1916 for Rural Water Supply Grievances & Swift Action.

BASUDHA was first launched in the year 2017-18 as a tribute to Buxi Jagabandhu in the bi-centenary year of Paika Rebellion with a budget of 600 crores.
