Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik speaks to PM Modi to postpone NEET, JEE exams
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over telephone and requested him to postpone NEET, JEE examination. Earlier, CM Patnaik had also written a letter to the Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank in this regard.
CM Patnaik has cited that the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the prevailing flood-like situation in Odisha might create trouble for the students. Hence, Naveen Patnaik has requested the Centre to consider postponing the NEET and JEE exams.
Earlier, Congress President Sonia Gandhi held an opposition meet over the issue. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had reportedly suggested moving the Supreme Court on the issue.
