Odisha CM orders Crime Branch Probe into Astaranga Murder Case

Astaranga-murder-caseBhubaneswar, Sep 23: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has ordered crime branch probe into Astaranga murder case on Wednesday. Four members of a family were found dead with throat slit yesterday night.

It was reported that a Dinabandhu Mallick, a retired district inspector of schools, and his wife and two daughters were murdered at a village Nagar under Astaranga police jurisdiction. After the crime branch probe ordered by the state government, police recovered dead bodies for the autopsy.

According to villagers, Mallic used to run a shop in the village after his retirement from the service. After noticing that his shop was not opened entire day, villagers rushed to his home where they found the dead bodies of all four family members. After getting information from the villagers about the murder police rushed spot, but villagers did not allow cops to take be dead bodies demanding high-level probe into the murder case.
