Odisha CM vexed over slow pace of work on Khurda-Balangir rail route

Khurda-Balangir rail routeOdisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik asks the State Transport department to expedite work on Khurda-Balangir rail route on time.

After a review meeting presided over by the chief minister, Transport minister Ramesh Majhi said, the work has started in Balangir since last December and the target is to complete work by 2018.

The Work on the 16-km railway line from Khurda side is on and is ready up to Rajasunakhela. Notably, trains are now running till Rajsunakhala on the 289-km Khurda-Bolangir rail project.

Work from Rajsunakhala to Nayagarh would be ready by 2017, and the whole route would be ready by 2021. He also directed the authorities to commence the work soon so that people can be benefited from the rail project.
