Odisha Congress observes BJD’s Foundation Day as Black Day

ONI Bureau:  Odisha unit of Congress today observed BJD’s 21st foundation day as ‘Black Day’ in all the panchayats across the state, alleging the ruling-BJD of squeezing the constitutional rights of the panchayat samitis through schemes like Ama Gaon Ama Bikas and PEETHA.

Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee President Niranjan Patnaik took a dig at BJD Government in the state for failing to fulfill the aspirations of common people, ridiculing CM Naveen Patnaik’s claims of development in the state in the past 18 years rule.

Sharpened his attack on development, OPCC chief said, in Odisha as many as 85 lakh youths are unemployed, farmer suicides are increasing day by day, 65% of population are still in BPL and Odisha’s debt burden is estimated at Rs 93,000 crore currently.

Niranjan Patnaik also questioned, why BJD Government decided to walk out of Lok Sabha & abstain from voting during the no-confidence motion
