Odisha COVID-19: West Bengal Visitors To Undergo Mandatory Two-Week Quarantine

Odisha has directed for mandatory two-week quarantine for visitors coming from West Bengal. The decision was taken after a triple mutant of the COVID-19 virus emerged in West Bengal.

The Odisha Government has issued special guidelines for the same –

  • Border checks on inter-state roads connecting Odisha and West Bengal
  • For the mandatory 2-week quarantine, institutional centres to be set up immediately
  • Strict action will be taken against those disobeying the safety protocols
  • Screening at Bhubaneswar and Jharsuguda airports
