Odisha has directed for mandatory two-week quarantine for visitors coming from West Bengal. The decision was taken after a triple mutant of the COVID-19 virus emerged in West Bengal.
The Odisha Government has issued special guidelines for the same –
- Border checks on inter-state roads connecting Odisha and West Bengal
- For the mandatory 2-week quarantine, institutional centres to be set up immediately
- Strict action will be taken against those disobeying the safety protocols
- Screening at Bhubaneswar and Jharsuguda airports
