Odisha EOW arrests Ashirbad Chit Fund Firm Director

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Odisha Crime Branch Police on Tuesday arrested Sukant Mohapatra, the director of Ashirbad Chit Fund Firm for allegedly duping the investors.

Earlier the Crime Branch had arrested three other officials who are involved in the Scam including its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Swetang Patnaik who has collected huge amount of public deposits and promised to return the said amount at a high rate of interest.

However, the company had shut down its office without repaying the deposited amount to the investors. The corporate office of Ashirbad Multipurpose Co-Operative Ltd. is located at Paikanagar in Bhubaneswar.
