ONI Bureau: Aiming to connect the Steel City with the rest of the nation, the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Monday issued license for third airport of Odisha in Rourkela.
After Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar and Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda, the steel city will be the third operational airport in Odisha.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation confirmed the development in a tweet.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued license for third airport of Odhisa on 7/1/19 for Rourkela; also known to be the industrial capital of the state of #Odhisa. It will pave opportunities to connect the steel city with rest of the nation. #SabUdenSabJuden
