Odisha Government forms Committee to Enhance Skills

Pati - Revenue Collection up by 4%Bhubaneswar, Aug 8: Odisha government is going to organize skill development training for the members of the community-based Cyclone Shelter Management Committees (CSMMCs) in six coastal districts. This decision was taken at a high-level meeting of Odisha State Disaster Management Authority chaired by Chief Secretary of Odisha, GG Pati  here on Friday.

The state government has formed a committee headed by UN Behera, Development Commission. The committee will find out 15 subjects over which the skill development training will be provided to the members for better disaster management services.

The committees in the six coastal districts will be functioning with the Block Development Officer  as Chairman and a volunteer will be appointed as it secretary. The committees will be looking after the management and maintenance of building. The committees in the districts will also comprises of tehesildar, junior engineer of block, medical officer, head master of schools, ICDS supervisor and ANM as ex-officio memebrs.
