Odisha Government reduces Bus Fare

The State government has announced today to reduce bus fares in the state under automatic fare revision mechanism following the recent reduction of fuel prices by Rs. 2.01.

The fare of ordinary and express buses have been reduced to 1 paisa per kilometre, and the fare for Deluxe and AC Deluxe buses have been reduced to 2 paisa per kilometre.

For ordinary buses, the fare has come down to 59 paise per kilometre while the fare for express buses has come down to 62 paise per kilometre.

Similarly, the deluxe category buses will now charge 82 paise per kilometre and AC Deluxe buses will charge Rs 1.03 paise per kilometre.

Meanwhile, the state commerce and transport department had decreased the fares of buses of all categories earlier on July 1 after the implementation of the mechanism by the government.
