Odisha Govt appoints Sanjeev Marik CMD of OSRTC

Bhubaneswar, Nov 28: Odisha government on Friday appointed Sanjeev Marik, former Director General of Police (DGP), as Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC).

1981 batch IPS Officer; Marik was DGP from July 7, 2014 to November 7, 2015. He was replaced by KB Singh. Notably, Singh’s appointment was announced by the state government when Marik was on leave.

The secretary of transport and commerce department, Sanjay Rastogi was holding the additional charge of  CMD of OSRTC. It is noteworthy that, former DGP and CRPF director general Prakash Mishra was also given the charge of CMD of OSRTC when Marik was appointed as DGP.
