Odisha Govt. dedicates 10 lakh pucca houses under Rural Schemes

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik dedicated 10 lakh pucca houses to the beneficiaries. Speaking at a function, Chief Minister said that the Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana (BPGY), a housing project for rural poor has constructed 10 lakh pucca houses and safe shelter to 50 lakh people in two years for the people living in rural areas.

According to the CM, after the cyclone Phailin in 2013, his government decided to go for the pucca ghar scheme aimed at provide secure houses to the people.

Mr Patnaik said he was feeling very happy and proud to dedicate the houses to the homeless people. His government will convert all kutcha houses into pucca houses in next two years, he added.
