Odisha Govt expresses regret over “Printing Mistakes” in New Year Diary
ONI Bureau: General Administration Department of Odisha Government today expressed regret for the “printing mistakes” in Government’s official New Year Diary, said the mistakes were unintentional.
State Government in a press release today clarified that it had no intention of hurting the sentiments of Odia people.
It is to be noted that in the official New Year Diary of State Government, the iconic poem of Utkalamani Gopabandhu Das, ‘Manaba Jibana Nuhain Kevala Barsa Masa Dina Danda,’ published and launched with the name of Kabibara Radhanath Ray.
Terming such mistakes an insult to eminent personalities and Odia language, people across Odisha on Tuesday staged demonstration and demanded immediate withdrawal of the diary.
