ONI Bureau: The BJP delegation led by its State General Secretay Bhrugu Baxipatra, which recently toured Ganjam and Gajapati districts, has come down heavily on the BJD Government in the state, saying people in border region are being controlled by the Andhra Pradesh Government.

Bhrugu Baxipatra hinted at a disaster in waiting, saying the state government has completely ignored issues related to Mahendratanaya river, which has helped Andrha Pradesh take advatage of the situation and build projects.

“These projects undertaken by Andhra Pradesh Government will result in massive irrigation problems in Ganjam and Gajapati districts in future,” he warned.

Bhrugu Baxipatra also claimed that 19 Odisha villages on Ganjam-AP border are fully controlled by Andhra Pradesh and people there have dual voter cards, ration cards etc. The Andhra Pradesh is penetrating deep into the border areas of Odisha, while the state government is in sleeping mode, he added.
