Odisha Govt grants permission to open Puri Srimandir’s Ratna Bhandar

ONI Bureau: The Law department of the Odisha Government on Tuesday gave permission to open Puri Srimandir’s Ratna Bhandar, the SJTA authorities informed.

Earlier on Monday, the Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) clarified that only walls and roof of the chamber will be assessed and no assessment of treasure will be done during inspection by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) experts.

A five-member ASI team alongwith members of Sri Mandir’s core committee will enter the Ratna Bhandar wearing traditional Dhoti and Towel. They will use only LED light during the inspection, reportedly.
