Odisha Govt hikes stipend of House Surgeons by Rs 5,000

ONI Bureau:  As a new year gift, Odisha Government today announced to hike monthly stipend of house surgeons of three medical colleges by Rs 5,000.

Reportedly, the house surgeons of SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack, Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati (MKCG) Medical College & Hospital in Berhampur & Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) in Sambalpur to get stipend of Rs 20,000 from existing Rs 15,000 per month.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Pratap Jena said the enhanced stipend will be effective from April 1, 2017.
