Odisha Govt launches ‘Mo Bus’ services in Bhubaneswar

ONI Bureau:  Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday launched technology-driven and citizen-friendly ‘Mo Bus’ services in the capital city ahead of the Men’s Hockey World Cup. The Chief Minister took Mo Bus ride along with passengers. During the journey, he took selfies with passengers and bought ticket.

The ‘Mo Bus’ project is covered under the Central Government’s ‘Smart Cities Mission’. The ‘Smart Cities Mission’ is PM Narendra Modi’s pet project.

The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) authorities have finalised to roll out of 100 brand new buses in phase1 covering a total of 9 routes. The CRUT also inducted lady conductors to make the Mo Bus safe, comfortable & friendly for the female passengers.

The buses will operate daily for 15 hours from 7 AM to 10PM and will be available in 10-12 min duration. The services will be available for the residents of Bhubaneswar, Khurda, Cuttack and Puri.

People can download MO Bus app from Google play store to track, book, pay and plan journey at ease.
