Odisha Govt to regularize Jobs of 22,000 Gana Sikshyaks

Gana SikshyaksThe Odisha Government on Tuesday has announced to regularise the jobs of 22,000 Gana Sikshyaks in the State.

As per the notification issued by the School and Mass Education department, the teachers must have undergone a requisite training on teaching to get the benefits of the regularisation of the service.

The teachers will be dismissed from their service, who fail to achieve the requisite qualification within March 2018 and the teachers who have undergone training (CT or BEd) with Plus Two as the necessary qualification are eligible to be regularised after the completion of eight years of their service.

It is also noted that, the State government has hiked the basic salary of school teachers by 25% as per the 2013 grant-in-aid provisions which will be applicable from June 1, 2016.

The government has also made provisions for an annual increase of 3% in the basic salary by which the teachers of upper primary schools, high schools, Sanskrit toll schools and Madrasas will be benefited.
