Odisha in its fight against corona is leaving no stones unturned for preparedness.
In the wake of COVID19, it had already approved of hospitals in a few districts dedicated to treating coronavirus affected. 20 hospitals are already functioning successfully in 18 districts with a capacity of 3,420 beds & I197 ICU beds.
As per new reports, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has instructed the 16 proposed COVID19 hospitals to be functional within a week.
These additional hospitals will have a capacity of 2,282 more beds and 38 ICUs.
The objective of having more COVID19 hospitals is to ensure faster tests, diagnosis and proper treatment of suspected cases and confirmed patients.
