Odisha Health Minister approves Rs 10 Cr for Sishu Bhawan

Cuttack, Aug 26: Odisha Health Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak visited Sishu Bhawan (Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Pediatrics) and granted Rs 10 crore for the development of the institution.

The minister visited to take the stock of the situation at the hospital as 28 infants were died in last six days at the pediatric centre. On Tuesday, the Odisha Government had formed a four-member team to investigate into the death of infants.

Earlier, taking serious note over the death of infants at the pediatric centre, the Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC)  issued notice to health department and hospital authorities.
