Odisha launches OPOLFED Chicken Fresh Online on Aug 3

Agriculture, Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Minister, Government of Odisha, Pradeep Maharathy on Monday launched the online shopping platform of Odisha State Poultry Products Co-operative Marketing Federation (OPOLFED) in an effort to provide its customers a flexible buying experience.

He also launched the e-chicken portal – chickenfresh.in . The minimum order amount must be Rs 500 in order to get home delivery. Rs 50 flat delivery charges will be added to each order.

The minister formally launched a dedicated Facebook page of the OPOLFED to uniformly expand the use of social media to promote its products and create awareness among the consumers.

Launching the online shopping platform chickenfresh.in and Facebook page  https://www.facebook.com/opolfed  ,the Hon’ble minister said this is a milestone in the history of OPOLFED.

“It is really appreciable that OPOLFED has offered to sale its product online. Although initially it will sale its products within the municipal corporation area of Bhubaneswar, it can extend the facility to other areas after looking at the response” he said.

“I am happy that Opolfed has also launched a Facebook page to promote its products and create awareness among the consumers. Today its Facebook page has more than 6600 likes and I hope more and more people will visit this page in the coming days and will connect with Opolfed”.

“OPOLFED symbolises quality and hygiene. It is a trusted name in Odisha”, Shri Bishnupada Sethi, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary – Fisheries & ARD, Govt. of Odisha said.

The online shopping platform will provide the residents of Bhubaneswar who cannot visit the OPOLFED-CHICKEN FRESH to place order online and get delivery at home, he said.
