Odisha may soon have its own Super Luxurious Maharaja Styled Train

ONI Bureau:  To attract more tourists to the tourist destinations like Puri, Bhubaneshwar, Cuttack, Konark and Sambalpur, Odisha Government is keen to have its own Super Luxurious Tourist trains, styled in old Maharaja legacy.

As per sources, in an effort to boost tourism, Indian Railways proposed to as many as 15 states to have Tourist luxury trains like Maharaja Express, Palace On Wheels, Deccan Oddysey for their own states.

As Odisha responded actively and shown interest to have such a train in their state, Railway Ministry is ready to provide coaches to the state at reasonable rates reportedly.

It is to be noted that Indian Railways have five luxury trains operating under its wings – Palace on Wheels, Maharaja Express, Golden Chariot Deccan Odyssey, and Heritage Palace on Wheels that are running in the states of Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Karnataka.
