Odisha Pollution Control Board officer in Vigilance Net

ONI Bureau:  The Vigilance sleuths on Saturday arrested Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB) Jajpur regional officer on charges of amassing property disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The accused was identified as Hadibandhu Panigrahi was forwarded to the court on Friday.

During the search, a sum of Rs 96,500 and a gold coin were found. Documents relating to acquisition of immovable and movable assets including one double storied building at Khandagiri, one plot at Angul, gold ornaments and many more were also found from Panigrahi’s house.

In this connection, a criminal case has been registered against Panigrahi for possession of disproportionate amounting to around Rs 1.36 crore.
