Odisha soon to provide e-stamping facility

E-StampThe Odisha government on Tuesday signed an agreement with Stock Holding Corporation of India Ltd (SHCIL) to introduce e-stamping as another mode of collecting stamp duty. The State Inspector General of Registration (IGR) Upendranath Mallick inked the agreement.

It is to be noted that, almost 17 States across the country have already adopted the e-stamping.

e-Stamping is a computer based application and a secured electronic way of stamping documents. It’s an electronic way of paying stamp duty to the government for any purpose without purchasing of stamp paper.
