Odisha Sports Allows resurrection Of training

Obeying the guidelines laid down by the union government, Odisha’s Department of Sports and Youth Services (DSYS) has published the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for getting its hostels and other sporting facilities furnished for athletes. However, the DSYS asserted that the training would restart only in an organized method by following all essential government protocols. “DSYS shall offer a training environment with the best possible protection against infection. The precautionary measures and protocols mentioned in the issued SOP are based on best practices being adopted across the sector,” the DSYS stated in their statement.

This SOP covers all stakeholders serving at the training centres, sports hostels, and sports facilities, including:
• All athletes
• All technical and non-technical support staff
• All DSYS administrative staff
• All hostels and facility management staff
• All parents/ guardians to the training centre/sports hostel/facility
