Odisha to receive Commendation Award in Foodgrains Production

ONI Bureau:  Odisha will be awarded for surplus food grain production for the year 2016-17.

In a letter to Odisha Agriculture Minister Pradeep Maharathy, Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh informed that Odisha has been selected for Commendation Award under total foodgrains category II for the year 2016-17.

The Union Agriculture Minister also congratulated his state counterpart and praised state Agriculture Department for encouraging farmers.

The award carries a citation and a cash award of Rs 1 crore will be given to the concern department at the ‘Krishi Unnati Mela’ that will be held in February—March 2019.
