Odisha to set up Riverine Port on Mahanadi River in Kendrapara dist

ONI Bureau: The State Government on Saturday decided to set up a Riverine Port on Mahanadi River in Akhadasali village under Mahakalapada block in Kendrapada district.

This port will be set up in public private partnership (PPP) mode in two phases.  Around Rs 2110 crore will be invested in the first phase with an estimated to 175 hectares of land for first Phase development of port.

This Riverine Port will be connected to National Highway 53 and Haridaspur-Paradip Railway line and will be used for  transportation of cargo.
