Bhubaneswar, June 2: The Odisha State Truck Owners’ Federation (OSTOF) will go on indefinite strike from June 9 as the talks between the members of the federation and Odisha government failed. The federation has declared for state-wide strike from June 9 midnight.
On Monday, members of the federations discussed with state Commerce and Transport Minister Ramesh Chandra Majhi over their 11-point charter. The talks ended without any conclusion over the issues.
Rabi Satapathy, general secretary of the association, told media persons that the talks with the Odisha government failed and they would go for indefinite state wide-strike from June 9.
Earlier, he had told that if the government fails to fulfil their demands by June 9, the association members will go on indefinite strike. Satapathy informed that around 1.3 lakh truck will join the strike against the odisha government.
