Odisha urges Centre to allocate Rs.5,576.5 Cr in Rail Budget

Train-BhubaneswarBhubaneswar, Dec 9: Odisha urged the central government to allocate Rs.5,576.5 crore in the forthcoming Railway Budget.

As per reports, BJD MPs under the leadership of  Bhartruhari Mahatab called on Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu at Railway Bhawan in New Delhi on Tuesday and placed their demands.

During the discussion with the minister, the MPs also urged to allocate Rs.5,576.5 crore under the Railway Budget for the development of the state.  Besides this, they demanded the minister to introduce inter-state trains linking from Bhubaneswar, Koraput and Sambalpur in the state to Delhi. The BJD MPs have also urged the minister to sanction funds for the modernization of Bhubaneswar Railway Station. They have submitted a memorandum to the minister.
