Odisha’s biggest MPLAD Project to be inaugurated in Kendrapara

ONI Bureau: While BJD MP from Kendrapara, Baijayant Panda continues to be under attack from his own party colleagues for unleashing a war on the ‘bureaucratic system’ in the party, he tweeted this morning with a breaking news that Odisha’s biggest-ever MPLAD-funded project would be inaugurated at Derabish in Kendrapara on January 24.

The project – a Multipurpose Auditorium cum Sanskruti Bhavan, was built at a cost of Rs 396 lakh. It is said to be the modern version of the large auditorium built in Berhampur by late Biju Patnaik.

Out of the total project cost of Rs 396 lakh, Rs 376 lakh would be spent from the MPLAD funds, while the state government bears the remaining Rs 20 lakh. The Sanskruti Bhavan in Kendrapara would host events of state, national and even international level, which is definitely a big news.

Without bothering about the ongoing controversy, the Kendrapara MP has invited all MLAs, Zilla Parishad Members, Government functionaries, eminent people as well as media professionals to attend the mega event.

Baijayant Panda has sought everyone’s support & cooperation to make this event a grand success. According to reports, a group of BJD linked to MLA Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak are against the inauguration while some others have come out in Jay Panda’s support.
