Odisha’s Chandrakant Acharya awarded Sword of Honour at IMA

ONI Bureau:  Odia youth Chandrakant Acharya have made the state proud by receiving the Sword of Honour for the best performing cadet at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) at Dehradun on Saturday.

Acharya who hails from Cuttack, had received the award from Bangladesh Army Chief General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq along with a gold medal for being the best cadet of the year.

With Acharya’s winning the honour, Odisha has won the Sword of Honour at IMA, Dehradun  for the second consecutive year. In 2016, Odisha boy Pratyush Kumar Mohanty was awarded the Sword of Honour at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) passing out parade for best all-round performance.
