ORHDC Scam: Two former officials sentenced to 3 years Jail

ONI Bureau:  The Special Vigilance Court in Bhubaneswar today awarded 3-year jail term to two former officials of Odisha Rural Housing Development Corporation (ORHDC) in connection with financial irregularity to the tune of Rs 55 lakh in the corporation in 2000.

The then accounts officer Pradip Rout & accountant Chitta Mallick surrendered before the court today.

The court also slapped a fine of Rs 75,000 on both of the accused.

Earlier last month, the Special Vigilance Court convicted senior IAS officer and former director of ORHDC Binod Kumar and five other persons in connection with the ORHDC scam.
