Panchayat Polls: War of Words continues between BJD and BJP

While the BJP is marching ahead in Panchayat Polls, giving a big jolt to ruling BJD, both parties are engaged in bitter war of words. Both have moved the Election Commission with their allegations against each other.

The BJP has been alleging that BJD has been adopting violent methods to stop their march. They also accused senior IAS Officers including K Pandian of getting involved in Poll strategy. BJP also alleged that BJD leaders and cadres are beating up their workers and sought immediate intervention of SEC. A delegation from the BJP also met DGP today.

On the other hand, BJD accused Union P&NG Dharmendra Pradhan of using black money and deploying IOCL officials to win polls. The party alleged that IOCL officials are luring the voters.

BJD also drew attention to the involvement of Union Ministers as well as CMs of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand in Panchayat Polls, calling it unprecedented.
