Panchayat Samiti Member Candidate dies of Cardiac Arrest during Polls

A Panchayat Samiti Member candidate Dilip Kumar Jena died of cardiac arrest during Panchayat Polls in Puri district today.

According to the information Jena who was contesting in Titipa Gram Panchayat under Krushna Prasad block in Puri district suffered from heart attack while he was present at the polling booth today morning.

Reportedly, yesterday he had got treatment for the same in a hospital.

Meanwhile, the State Election Commission confirmed that the voting would not be cancelled as voting was already started when the candidate was passed away.
