Panchayati Raj Department to take care of Odisha cyclone shelters

ONI Bureau:  Odisha Government has decided to hand over the repair and maintenance works of all Multipurpose Cyclone Shelters (MCS) and Multipurpose Flood Shelters (MFS) to the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department.

As per report over 800 MCS and MFS have been handed over to the department for regular maintenance.

The roof leading to water leakage, doors and windows which have been damaged would be repaired. Other basic facilities as sanitation, electricity installation, first aid kits and medicines, facilities for elderly and pregnant women will be done.
