Panic after fire breaks out in casualty ward of SCB

ONI Bureau:  A fire broke out at the casualty ward of SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack in the wee hours of Monday, triggering panic among patients and their families. However, no loss of life has been reported.

While the Air Conditioning system was damaged, a leakage in the oxygen pipeline was also reported, the ICU, Trauma Care and Central ICU were also affected in the fire mishap.

Though the exact reason of the fire is yet to be ascertained, fire personnel suspect short circuit to have triggered the incident.
