Parala Palace Murder: Odisha CM orders Crime Branch Probe

UntitledOdisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday ordered crime branch probe into the suspicious death of the Paralakhemundi Maharaja’s manager and her two Siblings.

The Crime Branch Special DG BK Sharma said a six member Special Investigation Team (SIT) will probe the incident from Tuesday.

Reportedly, the Manager of Paralakhemundi king Ananga Manjari Patra and her two siblings named Bijayalalxmi and Sanjay Patra had allegedly committed suicide inside the house in same room.

Police recovered three suicide notes and a dairy from the house.

Notably, Parlakhemundi Maharaja Gopinath Gajapati Narayan Deb has been allegedly kept in captivity for over two years by his lady manager and her brother.

On August 14, the king was taken to Vizag and later shifted to Chennai for treatment.
